Two Months!

I can't believe my sweet baby is already two months old! He turned two months on August 26th but we went to see his pediatrician the week before. Here are his stats:

Height: 25 inches or 92%
Weight 13 1/2 lbs. 92%
Head circumference 15 1/2 80%

 Dr. T said that he looks great, is super healthy, and is just a big guy that's perfectly proportioned! She was also amazed that he is really close to rolling over and is holding his head up really well. David and I have really enjoyed the past month, watching his little personality develop, his hair grow, and the rolls on his thighs get bigger and bigger! He's been chattering more and more and becoming increasingly more in control of his hands.

He loves the birds on his bouncy seat and swing, ceiling fans, and his mobiles above his crib and changing table. He doesn't love waiting on a bottle, having to wait for more food while he burps, and if mom or dad are slow to get the bottle in his mouth! I bet you can see a trend: the kid loves to eat! He's taking a pacifier (we call them boppies) but has also getting really good at spitting it out!

We just love him to pieces and are excited to see what his third month will hold. :)

Mr. Elephant is at it again! He's trying to steal the spotlight from the birthday boy. :)

William's First Movie!

On Tuesday, August 7th, David and I took William to see the new Spider-Man installment for AMC's Bring Your Baby Matinees at a nearby mall. We had such a great time, and I must say William was one of the best behaved babies there. He just quietly drank a bottle and watched the action both on and off the screen. I would not recommend it if you are really wanting to watch and focus on a film, but David (a HUGE Spider-Man fan!) had already seen the movie and I was happy watching both the movie and the other babies so we had fun. One Month!

William turned one month old on Thursday, July 26th. I couldn't believe my sweet little newborn had already been in our lives for a whole month!

One month and happy about it!

So far, he has been the best little guy. He's a great eater and is just sweet and cuddly most of the time. The only reason he gets fussy is if he's hungry, and then he lets us know it pretty quickly! But who doesn't, right? He is on a pretty good three hour schedule, he eats every three hours or when he gets hungry. We usually get up to feed him at 3am, 6am, and he's up for the day at 9am. Dr. T, our pediatrician, told us when he hit 10 lbs. he should be able to sleep six hours, but we've only seen that once or twice. We are dying for him to sleep longer than three hours at a time! We haven't been back to see Dr. T since he was two weeks old and won't be back until his seventh week, but we think William is about twelve pounds and at least 22 inches. He's wearing mostly 3 month sizes and size one diapers. He's really long right now and that's what's pushing him into the bigger size clothes but not too chubby He is working on a couple rolls on his upper thighs. I hope we get some real rolls soon! :) 

We want to take a monthly picture to watch his growth and had a little photo shoot in his nursery. Let's just say it was hysterically funny to watch all of his funny faces! Here are a couple more for your entertainment! I think these will be great blackmail someday. :)

Night Out with Grandaddy and Meme!

On Tuesday, July 17th David and I had our first night out without the baby! My parents gladly kept William and we went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, La Duni, and we saw the movie Ted. William had fun with Grandaddy and Meme too!

Bath time!

William really likes taking baths, especially now that his umbilical cord is off and he can take baths in his cute whale tub! The night his cord came off, I was out with some friends and William was having boy time with Daddy and Uncle Mike. Well, his cord fell off and the guys thought it looked weird! Not only did they call me, but they texted pictures of it to our friend Nathalie who is a second year pediatric resident. She told him it was fine but it was still cute how concerned Daddy and Uncle Mike got.
